Tintwise can offer the highest quality tinting and paint protection for your vehicle

Our newly refurbished workshop is fully equipped to accommodate your vehicle and all installations carried out are done to the highest standard in a bright, clean and dust free environment. To obtain the highest quality finish, each vehicle we tint is individually assessed and the film cut to suit. Where necessary, our installers will strip all of the internal trims which may cause an obstruction and will remove the glass from its runners, tinting those separately to obtain the best quality finish. All fixed and bonded glass will be tinted in situ.

Unlike many less experienced installers, our applicators tint all rear screens in one piece; this doesn’t damage or interfere with the heated rear screen and aesthetically looks much better. It is also unnecessary to leave a light gap around the perimeter of thewindow, as some would have you believe. Once completed, our applications will look identical to a manufacturer’s factory tint.

For your convenience, we offer a complimentary same day collection and delivery service to all our customers situated within a ten mile radius of our premises. Alternatively, our mobile service may be more convenient, whichever you choose, we aim to cater for your every need.

The tinted films we use are proven too:
  • Reject 99% of Harmful UV Rays
  • Reject upto 41% of Solar Energy
  • Reduce Heat Penetration by 58% into the Vehicle

Wherever we turn, we are told to protect our families from the dangers of harmful UV Rays, we naturally assume this means just when we are out in the sun, but think again, UV Rays penetrate through glass and just by having tinted film applied to your vehicle, you can reduce this by 99%.

The rejection of UV Rays and the reduction in Solar Energy saturation also greatly contributes to maintaining the interior of the vehicle, significantly reducing fading and therefore keeping the car looking newer for longer.

Upto 58% reduction in heat penetration allows the vehicle to stay cooler for longer. The added benefit of this is that the air conditioning system doesn’t need to work so hard to maintain a cool temperature – thus reducing fuel consumption.

A tinted vehicle offers the driver unexpected comfort as they will suffer less glare on sunny days and less dazzle at night from other vehicles headlights, reducing eye strain and fatigue. The reduced glare obtained also enhances the contrast of in-car stereo, sat nav and video screens if fitted.

The application of tinted and security films provides extra protection from smashed glass. The film, applied on the inside of the window acts to hold any glass shards together, significantly reducing the likelihood of them from coming into contact with the driver or passengers.

As well as enhancing look of the vehicle, another main benefit is that the people on the outside can’t see into the vehicle providing privacy to the passengers and their possessions.

Tintwise offer five standard charcoal films together with a clear security film. Coloured and reflective films can be offered on request.

Legal Info

Why we are legally unable to apply tinted window film forward of the B Pillar and why all of our quoted prices are for the rear of the vehicle (B Pillar back) only.As of 1st January 2004 the government made an amendment to the current laws (Section 32 of the Road Vehicles Act (Constructions & Use)) to incorporate a tint level of 70% Visible Light Transmission on the front driver and passenger side windows.

With most vehicles, this level of tint is incorporated in the glass from the manufacturer and therefore any application of additional tinted window film would be a direct infringement of the law, by us the installer and by you the owner of the vehicle.

To apply film forward of the B Pillar, thus reducing the visible light transmission level to below the prescribed levels is committing an offence and the applicator and owner of the vehicle runs the risk of prosecution under section 75 of the 1988 Road Traffic Act with reference to Section 41 (which refers to Construction and Use Regulations).
